This collection is comprised of nitrate and glass plate negatives taken by W.H. Hopkins. Photograph locations are mostly in Utah, and include Alta Ski Resort, American Fork Canyon, Bingham Copper Mine, Brighton Ski Resort, Boulder Dam, Provo, Salt Lake City, Southern Utah sites (including the Stone Arches), Timpanogos, University of Utah, and photos from an outing of the Wasatch Mountain Club.

Although the Wasatch Mountain Club was formally incorporated on 13 May 1920, it was informally organized earlier, sometime in August of 1913.
